Erin and Casey had their summer wedding on a hot day in July. The day began with Erin getting ready in her parent’s home in Glenview. The ceremony was right down the street and she had been attending it her entire life. After the ceremony, we headed downtown to get some portraits in the financial district. The afternoon sun provided gorgeous, golden light. After photos downtown, we headed to the party at The Crystal Gardens located at Navy Pier. This venue is so unique from its massive trees to jumping fountains. Photographing receptions here is always memorable. Before the night was over, we headed to the end of the pier to capture the couple in front of the weekly fireworks display. I’m glad we made the effort to get out there because those turned out to be some of my favorite photos I took that summer. Thanks to Erin and Casey for bringing me into your special day!
