Urvi and Nate had their multicultural wedding at Moonlight Studios in the West Loop of Chicago. The day started with prep at the couple’s home where I was able to get capture some nice candids of Urvi getting ready with her mother. When we arrived at the venue the guests were already gathering for the baraat, which is a celebratory wedding procession for the groom with music and dancing. This one was unique in that the bride joined in on the dance party and it very much set the tone for the day. Multicultural weddings often means multiple ceremonies and this day was no different. The first was a Hindu ceremony plenty of interesting traditions (and colors) to photograph. The couple then had a wardrobe change before there next ceremony, which was more traditional. The reception that followed included hilarious speeches by the couple’s friends followed by a choreographed dance. It was plain to see that Urvi and Nate were truly loved by their family and friends. I wish them the very best.
